Buy an orchid for a loved one or for yourself and add beauty to your home while giving a little TLC to A Loving Spoonful!The Vancouver Orchid Festival is pleased to be partnered with the World Rose Convention & Festival Rose enthusiasts from around the world will descend on Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada from June 18 to 24, 2009 for the internationally acclaimed World Rose Convention and Festival. This event is the ultimate rose experience. The World Rose Convention 2009 is being held from June 18 to 24, 2009 at the Westin Bayshore Hotel, Vancouver. More than 800 rosarians from 41 countries will come together for seven days of lectures, workshops, idea exchanges, research, garden tours and more. There are 23 prominent rose specialists from all corners of the globe speaking at the Convention on a diverse list of topics. In addition to the Convention, the World Rose Festival, featuring the World Rose Show, is being held from June 19 to 21, 2009 at the newly expanded Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre. An anticipated 15,000 flower enthusiasts from the general public will come to learn and share everything about the rose. Anyone who grows Roses can enter the Rose Show! This Vancouver Rose Society (VRS) annual show will have a greatly expanded program as it hosts the American Rose Society (ARS) 2009 Spring Convention Challenge Classes, the Pacific Northwest District (PNWD) Challenge Classes, and the Canadian Rose Society (CRS) Trophy Classes. Registration requirements and the show schedule are being finalized and will be posted in the rose show section of the website (www.worldrose-vancouver2009.com) when ready.
